Measurement Guide
Below are general descriptions of what these measurements mean. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need more specificity on a particular item.
Length (tops, dresses): Measured vertically, in inches, from mid shoulder to bottom seam.
Length (bottoms): Measured vertically, in inches, from the top of the garment to the bottom along the outer seam.
Shoulder to Shoulder: Measured horizontally, in inches, from where the right seam attaches to the sleeve (if applicable) to the where the left seam attaches to the sleeve.
Sleeve length: Measured vertically, in inches, from the upper shoulder seam (as opposed to the underside) to the end of the sleeve or cuff.
Pit to Pit: Measured flat, in inches, from armpit to armpit, above the bust.
Bust: Measured flat, in inches, across the fullest part of the bust. Generally below the armpits.
Waist: Measured flat, in inches, at the natural waist. Usually located a few inches above the navel.
Hips: Measured flat, in inches, across the widest part of the pelvis, below the fly.
Inseam: Measured vertically, in inches, from the groin to the bottom hem on the inner side of the garment.
Width of Leg Opening (pants, shorts, skirts): Measured horizontally, in inches, across the bottom seam of the garment.
Shoe Length: Measured vertically, in inches, from the tip of the toe to the edge of the heel, along the outer side of the shoe.
Shoe Width: Measured horizontally and laying flat (not including the depth), in inches, from one edge of the shoe to the other. May contain additional measurements if necessary (toe width, etc).
