40s Vest with New Leather Patch

Bought this vest only to discover a large piece missing from the edge. I cut a tiny piece of leather from the inside button plaquet that couldn't be seen when worn and cut it exactly to the shape of the hole. Then I glued it in place and mimicked the original top stitching
